Meet the beautiful Peredo family- David, Jamie, and adorable little Leah! I had so much fun hanging out with them and capturing this season of their lives in photographs. It was special to see the tender love they have for little Leah, and inspiring how they prioritize spending time with eachother as a family every night.
I asked them to give me a little bit of advice they’ve learned in their parenting journey, and I was blessed by the reminder they gave me:
“Our daughter grew so fast! It’s easy to let tiredness, distractions, and even good priorities squeeze out being able to enjoy watching your child grow. Fight to be able to enjoy raising your child. This is something I need to get better at myself :) ” Get to know this beautiful family more below!
We enjoy spending time together at home. We’ll read books, sing and dance, build blocks, and end the night with family worship. We have loved watching Leah grow and develop this past year, learning new skills every week. We also enjoy going out because Leah likes new environments and meeting people.
Leah is our 14 month old daughter. She is a gift from God and an answered prayer. She is happy, energetic, active, curious and social (we don’t know where she gets it from). She loves music and dancing. She enjoys having us read her books over and over. Her big smiles and many laughs bring us so much joy.
I love Dave’s devotion to being the spiritual leader of our family. He is faithful to lead us in family worship, prayer and Bible reading. His heart’s desire and greatest prayer for Leah is her salvation. He is a fun dad and works hard to provide for us, but what I’m thankful for the most is that he is a humble man who loves the Lord and walks with Him. What a great example he sets for us and I could not imagine a better husband and father!
Jamie’s best quality as a mother is her love. She joyfully sacrifices her time, energy, and passion in caring for Leah and me. I hope that one day Leah will see that type of sacrificial love as an example that points her to the true and pure sacrificial love of Jesus.
