I walked across the grass barefoot, holding my wedding dress up in one hand, and a bow in the other. The sun was warm on my back, and as I glanced through the trees, I almost felt like I was ready to shoot something. Except that I was the one in a wedding dress. I was the one looking at two cameras shooting me. My handsome man looked down at me adoringly, holding me tight. I stood on tiptoes, giving him a little kiss on the cheek. Today was the day. The day that Katniss married Peeta.
This fabulous shoot was dreamt up by Meghan Christine Photography and Whitney McGillicuddy, and Lukas and I were SOO excited to be Katniss and Peeta for a day! We had read all three of the Hunger Games before we modeled for the shoot, which made it SO much more fun, actually knowing the characters, and details of their story. From the arrow-bouquet, to the hand crafted cake and paper details, we just love this shoot and all the fabulous talent involved in putting it together! This shoot was also featured on Green Wedding Shoes, the Huffington Post, and with Ryan Seacrest!
If you’re a fan of the books, what is your favorite detail from the shoot?
