Some of you probably saw our blog last October where Lukas vaguely referred to the fact that we may or may not be opening up a wedding venue. Well, there is more news to be had on that score, so you will have to keep your eye out for future blog posts with more information on that.;)
Last week I hosted a stylized wedding shootout for photographers at the McGee House wedding venue near Lexington, KY. It was so much fun meeting so many talented artists from across Kentucky and Cincinnati. I also had fun handmaking little details for the shoot late into the night in preparation. While I was brainstorming what details I wanted to add, I was inspired by the different fabrics I had styled for the bride’s room in our last KY shoot. I thought, how fun would it be to weave mismatched fabric details throughout the shoot?
Thank you to all my fabulous vendors who made the day so special! Magnolia Floral Designs for the lovely flowers (how amazing is that hair piece? She whipped it up on the spot!) and fabric wand, the talented Lacey Abigail for hair and makeup, Simply Bridal for the gorgeous gowns, Antiquaria for the menus and invitations, The Twisted Sifter for the cake, and A.J. & Brittany Allison for modeling! My sweet friend Amandalin Ryan helped me not only coordinate, but also jumped in last minute as a second model! The location is the fabulous McGee House wedding venue in Harrodsburg, KY.
