The sun shining through the trees, the chirp of the birds, the fresh crisp feel of a bright red apple in your hand, and the smell of the woods as the sun melts off the morning fog. All together it leaves you refreshed, invigorated, and infused with a new sense of adventure. As a kid my parents used to read me a Johnny Appleseed children’s book. We had lots of different books I loved, but there was always something about that one that left me inspired to take on the world. Appleseed braved the lone frontier out ahead of everyone else planting apple trees so they would be ready for the settlers to enjoy when they arrived. Talk about innovative ideas! Maybe Steve Jobs took notes?
Another little known fact is that Johnny Appleseed was in love with a girl in his younger years, he decided to marry her and traveled a great distance to propose to her. Sadly he arrived one day after she had already accepted someone else’s proposal. After that he never married. Part of the fun of this shoot was pretending there was a real Mrs. Appleseed who came after his lost love.
Enjoy the photos and THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone who helped with the shoot! See the credits at the bottom! They are all super talented people! Comments are welcome! =)
